Why choose Toruń this weekend?

Toruń is easy to explore on foot, and its 19–20 September programme combines Copernicus, heritage, music and family activities. It works well as a day trip from Bydgoszcz or a full weekend beside the Vistula.

Following Copernicus

European Heritage Days highlight the Copernicus Route. On a first visit, begin in the UNESCO-listed Old Town, see the Nicolaus Copernicus House and cathedral, then continue to the walls and Vistula riverfront. Check each museum’s opening hours and tickets separately.

The Diocesan Museum at ul. Żeglarska 7 takes part on 19–20 and 26–27 September, from noon to 4 pm, with 50% off admission according to its official notice.

Music and free Saturday activities

The Helena Grossówna Young Musicians Festival offers free concerts. Some sessions still require a free ticket collected from Dwór Artusa, so confirm availability before going.

A free ecological village is listed on Rynek Nowomiejski from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday. The municipal programme also includes a potato-themed hike and the Copernicus Volleyball Cup.

Planning one day in Toruń

Arrive in the Old Town in the morning, explore Rynek Staromiejski and the Copernicus House, then walk to Rynek Nowomiejski for the activities. Keep the afternoon for a museum and the Vistula waterfront. The two main squares are close enough to combine on foot.
